I've taken these for years - on the advice of my vet!
"As the headline says, I've taken these for years. Why? I had my dog in to the vet for her checkup, and my vet (who was into alternative veterinary medicine) gave me supplement for my dog. It contained DHA. My vet said that we ALL should be taking DHA because it reduces inflammation, is good for the brain, and has any number of other good qualities. Well, she convinced me!
These have a strawberry flavor/scent. Now and then (not always) I find that the flavor repeats a bit. Most of the time I can't taste them at all. It's not an unpleasant flavor, but it's a synthetic strawberry sort of taste/smell."
