Great Product
"NatureMade Adult Gummies Fish Oil provides omega-3s, EPA and DHA in an easy to take gummy format. First, let's talk about fish oil. Fish oils are just so important for your daily health. A few of us might get enough fish oil into us daily through normal diet, but most of us don't. Even those who do will have hiccups in their diet where something changes. I always highly recommend having a daily fish oil supplement so that you know your body gets what it needs, no matter what. Fish oils are great for your body in many ways. They help to reduce your triglyceride levels. They help maintain a healthy blood pressure. They help with brain health and eyeball health. There's all sorts of other conditions they make better. In short, all of us should be taking fish oils each day, however we choose to do it. I used to try ingesting those huge amber capsules. I just could not swallow them. I knew how important fish oils were to my health and yet I kept choking on the pills. I had to find another way. I absolutely adore these NatureMade adult gummies. They are so tasty! They're like eating little sugar-coated gumdrops. Yes, they have 4g of carbs per 2 gummy daily servings. 15 calories. But I count this investment to be well worth it. The many benefits brought on by the fish oils far outweigh the small carb values. I'm quite happy to do yoga or something each day to offset those calories. They contain: 227mg fish oil, 57mg total omega-3, 47.5mg Omega-3 DHA, 9.5mg Omega-3 EPA. There's a wild range of suggestions for how much fish oil to take a day depending on what in particular you're trying to handle. For example, WebMD says that those with depression might be helped by taking 9.6g/day along with the regular medication. That's grams - the numbers above are given in milligrams. So you'd need more than this to handle depression. But for most people, the amounts provided here are a bare minimum to help keep your body going in the right direction. In terms of the triglycerides, I can report that three years ago I wasn't taking fish oils and my value was 93. Three years later, after eating these daily, my triglycerides are 45. My diet stayed pretty much the same the whole time - I eat low-sugar, low-starch pretty much every day. So maybe the fish oils did help! My doctor gave me a script for Vascepa and the pills were ENORMOUS. I could not fathom taking them twice a day so I decided to run to my local pharmacy for a substitute and purchased these Nature Made Fish Oil Gummies - they do the job! Granted they are not a high a dose as the Vascepa but these are far more tolerable to take as they are chewable. Some might find the sugar coating a bit too sweet but it helps disguise the fishy taste. They are flavored lemon, orange and strawberry/ banana. I did not notice a strong fish odor upon opening this bottle and luckily these gummies do not make me belch up a fishy taste so I am overall pleased. Keep in mind a serving is 2 gummies so this bottle will only last you 45 days. In one serving you only get 222mg of fish oil along with 50 mg of DHA. Those who medically need more might want to skip this product and look for another product such as a liquid that might offer a higher dosage. I have been taking these Nature Made Fish Oil Adult Gummies for approximately one year now. They taste fantastic (I was always a big gummy bear guy growing up) and I was initially surprised at how little "fish" flavor they contained. Part of that may be due to a lower mg total than some say for a daily recommended value. However, I typically eat fish once or twice a week so I feel that taking two of these gummies per day work as a good supplement to offset what I'm not typically getting through food. About a year ago, I also switched over to vitamin gummies and I've found that this has been a lot easier to take when I first wake up then trying to swallow pill after pill. I'm not a huge sweet guy, but it's a nice way to start the morning off. I've bought these on Amazon ranging from approximately $5.85 to $8.75, and have also noticed that my local grocery store will occasionally have a "buy one, get one free" offer on them as well. Overall a great product that I would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to swallow a lot of pills each day. If you're looking for a higher daily mg total, you may want to look elsewhere, but if you're just looking to supplement your diet and get a little more fish oil each day, then feel confident these will work for you"
