Great little accompanying e-booklet with this-
"Very nice. One day Amazon just showed me this product. I started remembering some of the health benefits of activated charcoal and knew it is a great thing to have on hand especially since I make so many homemade foods and remedies. One thing the ebooklet does not mention that I have discovered is that activated charcoal powder can also be used in roll on remedies also, great for insect bites with the essential oil homemade roll on remedies. I only recommend their Organic Activated Charcoal vegetarian tablets and powder as that is environmentally good, no trees are cut down. That is why I do not recommend the hardwood style. The ebooklet that one gets when purchasing this brand of activated charcoal is very handy. Various remedy recipes and even many easy homemade toothpaste recipes are in there. Well done.
UPDATE: I made the Charcoal Toothpaste with Peroxide recipe in the Schizandu e booklet. I decided to store my charcoal toothpaste in one of my butter dishes. After I brushed and flossed with my regular whitening toothpaste I used another toothbrush to brush with the homemade activated charcoal and peroxide paste. Even though my mouth and teeth were very clean, they feel even cleaner and my gums feel like I had a healthy gum treatment done at the dentist. This toothpaste seems too extreme for everyday use in my opinion as it makes the gumline tender for a few hours. Since it is still very helpful and wonderful I will fit it into my teeth cleaning regimen as such:
I use my Sonicare Diamond brush and floss daily
I perform a Sonicare gum massage approximately every three months
Every three months as needed I use Active Wow whitener with the remineralization gel for four treatments, one per week, then rest another three months before I use it again
In between the Active Wow whitening I boost my whitening each month with a Crest monthly one hour whitening strip
I will add in my activated charcoal and peroxide toothpaste treatment approximately every three months-Julie Sands
UPDATE: ONE WEEK LATER-I used the toothpaste again a week approximately a week after I first tried it. This time my gumline WAS NOT TENDER after use. I theorize my gums might have been tender upon first use since I had been using my commercial whitener which causes sensitivity. I did NOT brush my teeth with my commercial toothpaste prior to brushing with my homemade charcoal/hydrogen peroxide paste. They came out gleaming and became even whiter. They feel very smooth and my gums feel so fresh also. When I flossed after I noticed NO tartar was coming up on the floss, only a few specks of the charcoal. To my delight the homemade toothpaste also flosses automatically! I will be using this again, as needed, since it seems superior to my other toothpaste. I also noted when I ate bread later in the day there was no feeling of food on my teeth whatsoever, it seemed like I had brushed after eating even though I did not! My husband tried it for the first time over the weekend and he likes it although he felt it was messy as it got o his hands. He also was worried as the corners of his mouth were slightly temporarily darkened. I thought t made him look more handsome, very youthful and goth-like, as if he had artfully put on a small amount of black lipstick for me to make his lips seem more full. He looked in the mirror and realized I was right and he says he will be brushing with the homemade toothpaste on the weekends for us. ALWAYS BRUSH LIGHTLY WITH THIS-
UPDATE 2 MONTHS LATER:
I use the toothpaste every week or every other week, (recipe with hydrogen peroxide.) I might not have to use my commercial LED whitener kit, but will still use my remineralization treatments every three months. This is great since I am not certain of the type of glycerin used in my commercial whitener tubes since I am vegetarian this has been a concern. The coconut activated charcoal is a great alternative and seems to whiten even quicker and is great for my gums also. I brush it on lightly on all surfaces of teeth and let it set a minute or two then gently brush off with water. I also recommend this for cats and dogs. If their teeth are yellow, gently brush some on if the cat or dog can be outdoors or in bath tub as it is messy. Give bowl of water so they can rinse. Only a small amount is needed every so often to keep their teeth and gums healthy and sparkling. Much better than taking them to the vet for anesthesia and a manual tartar removal.-Julie Sands"
Can't live without this stuff!
"I cannot live without activated charcoal and this brand works really well and super fast! I use it for upset stomach, or when I'm detoxing too hard and start to feel bad. It's such a life saver for me so I stocked up!"
