"I am now 76 years old. I was on the Algaecal supplement program for 4 years in an effort to overcome osteoporosis. I was persuaded to begin this program after reading the book "Your Bones" by Lara Pizzorno. Algaecal is another calcium supplement that contains red algae plus some additional nutrients. When you are on their program, you take 4 calcium capsules a day plus 2 strontium citrate capsules at night before bed. The Algaecal program seemed to work for me--my bone density gradually improved, and I went from osteoporosis to osteopenia. For me the only problem was that Algaecal was quite expensive, and the price kept going up. Two years ago I switched to Bone Strength, which costs much less than Algaecal. I have still been taking one strontium citrate at night. My latest bone scan shows that after two years of Bone Strength, I have the same kind of bone density improvement I was getting before with Algaecal. It is hard to be sure of the exact cause and effect of changes to our bodies, but I am continuing to take four Bone Strength every day."

"Item arrived promptly and I just started taking them for help with osteopenia. I was supposed to go in for a bone density scan this month but had to reschedule and will not be seen until November. I will have more feedback on my condition then. The capsules are large but I experience no difficulty swallowing them. I have noticed no bad taste or side effects. Capsules can be opened and contents sprinkled on food but I haven’t tried this. Just mentioning it is an option if one finds the capsules too large."
