Great product
"I am not one to review very often but felt compelled to do so with this product. I was experiencing massive hair loss to the point that I was surprised I had any left. I went to the dr. Thyroid checked out good but he put me on a low dose to see if that would help. I switched to Olaplex shampoo/conditioner, started drinking a collagen powder, stopped coloring my hair and started this supplement. My hair loss came to a halt. No more clumps on the floor or in my hand as I washed or combed it. I did go back to coloring my hair once every 8 weeks. My hairdresser recommended I use Biolage color safe shampoo/conditioner so I switched. At the same time I ran out of this brand Biotin and bought some at Sams. My hair started falling out immediately. I thought because if the shampoo/conditioner so I went back to Olaplex. My hair still falling out I was trying to figure out why then it dawned on me that my hair loss started again when I ran out of this brand. I bought more and have been back on them for a week and already seeing a decline in the amount of hair I’m losing even after switching back to my Biolage shampoo/conditioner. I asked my husband if he noticed a difference and he said yes. I will continue to use this brand as long as it’s working."
Great for hair growth!
"I bought this mostly to help my nails because they’re so thin and break easily. I’ve been taking it every morning for 3 months now. It doesn’t make me nauseous and I haven’t had any odd side effects.
My nails are growing faster now and are a bit stronger but I’m hoping they continue to get stronger and continue to break less over time. My hair has been growing like crazy since I started taking biotin and it feels healthier. I haven’t noticed much of a difference in my skin but that wasn’t a concern for me.
Overall, I’m pleased with my results in the last 3 months and will be purchasing again."
My dermatologist is a nitwit?
"So… I’ve had my thumbs for 34 years. Never had any issues with my nails splitting. Like a year ago my thumb nail split right in the center, and I didn’t have health insurance at that time. I tried everything I could think of to fix the problem… tried wearing acrylic nails to let the split grow out. Tried keeping my nails really, really short. Tried gentle filing in one direction. Tried the other direction. Tried lotion, cuticle oil, white gloves. Tried avoiding water. Tried changing shampoo and conditioner… NOTHING worked… so I started taking these biotin pills (about 4 months ago). About 2 months ago the split was still there. I got health insurance and went to the dermatologist. He said “the split is genetic and from a defect in how your nail is formed. Very few people are biotin deficient, and these pills won’t do anything to solve the problem. There’s nothing I can prescribe. You’re stuck with this split in your mail for ever.” … okay… I’m no doctor, but how tf did my mail not have any trouble growing for 34 years, then all of a sudden this “genetic defect” formed and now I will have a split nail for ever? It couldn’t be from (I know this is extremely unhealthy) being extraordinarily stressed out every day from law school, taking prescription focus medicine, and not eating for several days in a row and frequently forgetting to drink water for like 15 hours a day? … anyway… I figured I would keep taking the biotin pills, despite what he said. Long story short, 2 more months of these pills, and literally nothing else changed, and the split miraculously healed itself. I really think the pills worked and the dermatologist doesn’t know what he is talking about."
