Flavor is palatable, decent price
"I bought the unflavored powder to add to my morning coffee. It dissolves fairly well. There is some aftertaste, but after drinking it in my coffee everyday for almost a month, the flavor is not bad, just... odd. I should note that I do add it to a large cup of coffee (close to 16 oz), with a couple tablespoons of flavored creamer. In a standard serving of coffee, I could definitely see the flavor being too strong.
Compared to similar products, I'd say the price is reasonable, considering this is a two month supply if you use 1 scoop a day.
As far as health benefits go, I haven't noticed a significant improvement yet. Will update after I finish the cannister if there are any changes.
Overall, I'd say good value, will probably buy again. Would give it 5 stars if the aftertaste was less noticeable."
Well worth it
"I've been taking this Multi-collagen for several months now. I have noticed a big change in my hair. There is almost none at the bottom of the shower now! It is much healthier and shinier. My skin is more hydrated, my nails are stronger and I've even lost a few pounds. I think overall it does make you feel better. I now have this product on auto delivery and will continue to use."
highly appreciate environmentalism and care of the company
"Delighted to praise this company for their respectful approach to the environment and to their customers (even though can't speak about any supposed health effects of the collagen powder itself, as I take this for general potential preventive and health-support purposes.) In the process of choosing, I went through several review articles on various collagen powders around the internet, then checked - literally, all listings - several pages of top search results from Amazon. Very few offered what I was looking for: responsibly sourced ingredients (such as grass-fed cows, free-range chicken, sustainably-caught fish), some sort of independent analysis or certification, no damned sweeteners of any type, no artificial flavors or tastes of any kind. This product happened to hit the set of expectations best, even though there is room for further enhancement with the analysis/certification part, beyond their current reported clinical research on the efficiency of their collagen. Being a mixture from three types of sources (chicken, beef, fish), it hits the best sourcing practices for all of the ingredients at once, according to the provided description. Furthermore, the list of ingredients is clear in its simplicity. As an added bonus, mentioning some special proprietary formula hints on the existence of R&D developments within the company. The cherry on top was that price per unit of mass was noticeably better than what nearly all of their (few) competitors offered, beating even a bunch of the "non-responsible" but heavily-advertized companies.
There were more positive surprises with the arrival of the product. Initially, my examining the packaging found no mentions about the source of the ingredients. I was disappointed and considered returning. However, their customer service happened to contact me by their own initiative, to confirm the delivery and to ask about my initial experience. I used the chance to ask my sourcing questions. To my delight, the concerns were addressed in details and finished with links to their website with even more information. The website happened to emphasize the company's dedication to clean products and environmentalism in sourcing, showing a great overlap with my own views on the industry. The willingness of the customer service to meaningfully answer sourcing questions and address environmental concerns is especially rare and therefore appreciated. So here I am, gladly leaving the positive and detailed review.
One other piece that I would want to know about the product itself: its solubility and taste. It dissolves fast, yet leaves small amount of unsoluble residual, which needs to be stirred to form suspension and get ingested. The taste is stronger than some flavorless collagen options offer, but is overall rather weak for me, so isn't a problem. I would expect it to completely disappear if added to coffee or, possibly, orange juice (sorry, don't drink either so no personal testing results.) All versions of fruits-/ veggies-/yoghurt-based smoothies that I've tried certainly cover it up completely."
