Saved me from recurring mastitis…
"With my first two kids more than 10 years ago, I had recurring mastitis until I weaned at 1 year. With my third child, I knew the symptoms and tried to catch the plugged duct early to prevent mastitis but I was still not early enough and I ended up having to go on antibiotics. Fortunately, my hospital had a breastfeeding support group and the lactation consultant recommended that I take lecithin. Another mom suggested that I take this brand so I ordered it. I followed the directions and the plugged duct cleared after a few days along with increased feedings and warm compresses. Since then I’ve been regularly taking lecithin and I noticed that if I miss one or two days of doses, I’ll start feeling the beginnings of a plugged duct followed by pain and soreness. Again, I’d increase my doses and feedings. Within 3 days, the plugged ducts are gone. So far I’ve been able to ward off another episode of mastitis while increasing the window between feedings as my daughter increases her solid food intake. This has been a huge savior for me. I do recommend this for anyone who experiences plugged ducts or mastitis frequently. It’s a savior. (I don’t have any problem swallowing the large pills and it worked out for me.) I highly recommend this product if you are prone to plugged ducts and mastitis."

"My OBGYN suggested these when I came home from the hospital and my baby wasn’t eating as frequently as she should have and I was extremely engorged/clogged. Definitely helpful when a clog is present, and I go overnight only pumping once or not at all so I take it once a day at night to prevent any as well. I would definitely recommend anybody who breastfeeds/pumps to have this on hand."
