"A medical web site suggested that activated charcoal could reduce gas in the gut leading to irritable bowel syndrome. I found this to be somewhat effective in quieting my gut after eating foods known to cause bloating and gas (onions, peppers, beans, dairy, fruits ). Not a cure for IBS but an aide at least."
