"There is a naturally occurring substance in Lion's Mane mushrooms which promotes the regeneration of the fatty "myelin sheath" which covers the nerves in our bodies. If this sheath degenerates, which can happen in conditions such as multiple sclerosis for example, it can disrupt the electrical signals in nerve pathways from the brain to other areas of the body. The myelin sheath is akin to the insulation on electrical wiring, and if two wires are touching which are not insulated, you can have a short circuit.
