"Tru Niagen is a legit product with lots of supporting science behind it. In this case, however, the capsules arrived in an unsafe condition because of these packaging flaws:

1: The removable plastic safety ring securing the cap to the bottle was partly torn.
2: After I removed the safety ring, the cap fell off. In other words, it was not screwed on.
3: The foil safety seal was stuck inside the cap, instead of being securely glued to the mouth of the bottle.

The contents, therefore, were not secured from possible contamination or tampering.

This was probably a manufacturing error (as opposed to a tampering incident) since the contents were correct (30 capsules).

I requested a replacement bottle, but the Amazon website did not offer this option (it led me in an endless circle). I then chatted with an Amazon representative who offered a full refund. He said the item cannot be returned, so I can keep it. I then ordered another bottle of Tru Niagen in the hope that it will arrive undamaged.
